Jacob Rinaldi, Head of Scientific Strategy.
We’re excited to welcome Jacob Rinaldi to Radical Numerics as our Head of Scientific Strategy.
Jacob brings a rare combination of scientific depth and experience translating frontier research into real-world impact. He earned his Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience from Stanford University before spending five years at Genentech, where he worked on one of the first personalized cancer vaccine programs. He later led oncology at Recursion and most recently co-founded Noetik, helping pioneer the field of AI and biology.
At Radical Numerics, Jacob will help shape our scientific strategy as we build toward general biological intelligence. He’ll work across research and partnerships to accelerate the application of our models to some of biology’s most important problems, from human genetics and rare disease to cancer vaccines, whole-genome design, and the next generation of AI-enabled therapeutics.
“Jacob is a rare unicorn, and a dreamer. People with deep expertise are often the most skeptical, but Jacob combines world-class scientific judgment with the optimism to imagine entirely new ways of doing biology. He understands both where the field is today and where it could be in the next decade. We’re thrilled to have him helping shape the future of Radical.”
Eric Nguyen, Co-founder and CEO
“Jacob is an exceptional scientist, bringing infectious enthusiasm as well as great taste in identifying which problems are worth solving. It has been a joy to work with him on new breakthrough applications of
Omnii.”Michael Poli, Co-founder and Chief AI Scientist
“This is a moment of rapid progress, where anything is possible. New things and new institutions are needed to take full advantage. We cannot lack the boldness and optimism to fully capitalize, cannot lack the ambition to create what will be needed to build the future. Radical feels different. I fell in love with the team, with the dream. Right away I thought: if it’s going to happen, it will happen here.”
